DDSFC started their season off with a deserved win over the much fancied Real Ale Madrid. Kicking from right to left in the first half DDSFC soaked up some early pressure before stringing together some fine passing moves. Adam Smart and Sharp snr saw shots go wide in a period where DDSFC were well on top. DDSFC were rewarded for some good play when Sharp set up Clancy to fire home a low shot into the net. Straight from the kick off DDSFC caused pressure and when the ball rebounded off Sharp's back and set Pog through 1 on 1 he made no mistake in doubling the lead. HALF TIME 2-0
In the 2nd half DDSFC slowed the tempo of the game down and played some good football but were caught out by a close range shot which creped in. At 2-1 we stayed positive and after some good pass's between Sharp and Gaz, Sharp released Clancy on the over lap who ran to the byline. He looked up and seen Pog tear away from his marker delivered a precise ball which Pog blasted home from from 8 yards out. The rest of the game was comfortable for DDSFC and despite Sharp's best attempts at time wasting they scored with virtually the last kick of the game.

Duston Harriers vs DDSFC
Scheduled to play at 7, we managed to start at 7:20 after a no show by the ref. Looking to build on a win in the last game, DDSFC had to make a few changes but managed to field 7 players. The match got underway and DDSFC were under some pressure. Some nice passing moves were made and DDSFC took the lead when a Sharp through ball was controlled by Pog who then lashed home with his left foot with a little help from a goalkeeping error. In just the next move great persistance and determination was shwon by Gary Timbs as he chased what seemed to be a lost cause but his cross beat both goaly and defender for Pog to tap home the second. Just before half time a skillful attacker from Duston pulled a goal back by taking it round to players before beating the keeper.
Half time 1-2
DDSFC got the second half under way but failed to pass the ball as well as before. Duston constantly attacked and it needed some good saves from Rob to keep us in the game. The pressure continued but in passing move that involved everyone the ball was passed to Pog who made no mistake in scoring his first career hat-trick with a precise finish in the bottom corner. Still the pressure came but Duston could find no way around Rob was injured after colliding with the post. DDSFC hung on and made it two wins on the trot and a place at the top of the league.

DDSFC 3 Romer Arms 0
The Dolphins got back to winning ways with a comfortable victory. Despite kicking against the wind in the 1st half DDSFC had good possesion in the early periods but were forced into defensive action constantly. DDSFC raised their game and from Pog's shot which rebounded off the keeper Andy Sharp scored his 1st goal of the season when he blasted home from 10 yards out. As in previous games DDSFC doubled their lead straight away when Sharp set Clancy down the wing his cross (hand balled by the defender) fell to Pog whose pass fell to Matty Russ who made no mistake in vollying home. at half time DDSFC were a good position and kept the Arms under pressure constantly and in trying to walk the ball into the net they missed plenty of chances. The 3rd goal came after Rob Sharp took a throw in the ball was hit forward and A.Sharp passed to Pog who checkerley chipped the ball from close range. the game was now won and DDSFC enjoyed some great passingmoves in the final minutes. A game dominated by DDSFC was won with Rob only having to make 1 save.
Confidence was high in the second half and sharp snr had the vision and skill to strike from at least 30yards with his shot missing the target by going about 2inches over the bar. ddsfc changed their formation in the second half with rob playing as sweeper bringing another option for attacking play. once again pog finished cooly in front of goal to take his tally to 6 goals in 4 games. surely he is going to be top scorer at this rate. ddsfc are going to be tough oppposition throughout the season and are looking forward to a top 3 finish with a place in europe on the cards.
On a bright note Chris Shackleton made his debut and he brought great passing and skill to the team. On a sad note Adam Smart was released from his DDSFC contract for poor attitude. We wish Adam all the best finding another team and has all of our regards.
